Chapter 1: Renesmee
I like my home. A fairy hut that Esme built. Small and cozy, it resembles me. I like to dream inside. When I close my eyes all the scents take me places. It smells like the forest, fresh leaves, flowers and mushrooms. These smells bring me peace. It's so pleasant, bungled in plaid, to stare enchanted into the warmth of the fireplace. Scents for me are like sounds for normal people, humans. Single sounds superimpose into musical masterpieces, but for me scents order themselves into unimaginable, splendid, finished compositions. I can read that composition as a testimony to the past and the present. Every waft of air brings me notes to decipher. Every person, every animal, every bird, every insect, every plant, so that, even every drop of rain smells its own way. I can sit for hours and enjoy this delightful composition much like my father enjoys his music. One of the odors, slightly flat, brings me sadness and joy at the same time. This is the smell of my best friend Jacob, who did not come here for several days. He is an integral part of my family and I miss him very much.
My name is Renesmee and I'm 5 years old by the terrestial time. I'm looking like a 12 or 13 year old girl, and this is all because I am growing very fast. Sometimes it feels like my arms and legs extend, and this is the only way my body changes. Some clothes I wear only for a few days and then they become too small for me and some of the clothes I wear only for a few hours, because my dear Aunts' Alice and Rosalie love to constantly try new clothes on me. Like my mother, Bella, I don't completely enjoy this, but it brings Alice and Rosalie such a pleasure that I can not deny them. I don't go to school yet, but Dad says that I will have enough time for it later. I suppose the irregular way my body changes would pose a problem in the public eye, so I avoid it. I like to study. I've been reading since I was a few months old so I spend most of the day in my grandfather Carlisle's library. As a matter of fact, it is difficult to call him "grandfather", he looks so young that he can be mistaken for my father or even brother. That's because he, like all real vampires, is not aging. Perhaps, for some, vampires - this fact is something terrible and dangerous, but not for me. All my relatives are vampires and I'm so accustomed to this life that I wouldn't know how to relate well to the human world. I learn as much about them as I can in the books I read, but still this vampire world is all I've ever known. I am myself half- vampire, ha;f-human. I'm easier to kill than most vampires, and my bite is not poisonous. I have the same force and grace of a vampire, and the smell of blood also drives me mad. I also have a special talent for communicating.
Four years ago today I met a vampire like me. I remember him looking at me funny like Jacob does. My mother says it is because I'm beautiful. My father says it's because he envies our intact family. I think it is something more than that.
Abstract
This site is about the "Twilight" book series by Stephenie Meyer. The intention of the site is to write the new book in the series (hence the codename). The idea of the site is to do it collaboratively (think of "open-source" cooperation). You may think it's just another "fan-fiction", but there is a big difference: there's not just one author to this book, but many (hundreds or thousands in the future).
Doing it together will theoretically make it in many ways better than any book written by a single author. A dream-come-true would be having Stephenie Meyer herself getting along with this idea and write together with us guiding us as a single most experienced author.
Status
Presently there is a just a beginning of the first chapter created. Therefore the main challenge now is to get attention to the idea to finally find interested authors willing to help. Please share this page with your friends or just bookmark with public bookmarking service or make a post about it in your blog or your friend's blog.
